Helping friends plan their wedding continues to be one of the highest honors, especially when the bride herself is an event producer! Emma and Austin, like many of our couples, were balancing their desire for a funky, one-of-a-kind venue with reality of the financial investment of a wedding in 2024. Enter The Richland Hotel - this boutique hotel was the perfect spot for their guests and their budget and it really set the tone for so many decisions to follow. The venue lent itself to a bright and colorful wedding palette, anchoring the palette in the signature green of the building. We added in some colorful dinner chairs, fluted dinner tables, a great beige and white checkered dance floor, and whimsical florals throughout! There were subtle nods to their date, May the Fourth, and the groom's love for Star Wars, and big surprises like a visit from R2D2 during the dance party. The day was intentional from start to finish!
One of the most unique details of the day was their seating chart display! Emma and Austin love convenience store snacks and wanted to share that with their guests, so a friend helped design and construct a 'store' that guests could shop during cocktail hour. Once they were done shopping they would check-out and receive a receipt which had their name and meal choice listed. Customized and Functional!
